The hysteria's not too hard to understand, either. It's easy to just point to the debt level, blame the current administration for it, and then not have to think beyond that, which suits some people in terms of ideology, brainpower, or both. Ditto for the events in Benghazi and the supposed malfeasance behind them. The inevitable defaulting to those two things just points up the weakness of the opposition—if they had more substantive critiques, they'd be making them. The fact of the matter is, Obama has pretty much been governing as a moderate Republican these last four years. The GOP is in such a pathetic state with the imbeciles and the lunatics running the asylum that it takes a Democrat to fill that role and do a better job of implementing W.'s agenda than that load of dodos ever could. That must be infuriating for some people.
